Delicious and Nourishing Salmon Hash with a Fried Egg – Perfect for Busy Mornings!

My son Jake loves to start his day with a protein-packed breakfast. One of his favorites is this recipe for Salmon Hash with a Fried Egg. The combination of flavors and textures is absolutely delicious!

I like to use wild-caught salmon for this recipe, as it has a richer flavor and more nutrients than farmed salmon. To prepare it, I season the salmon with a bit of lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Then, I fry it in a skillet until crispy.

To finish the dish, I add some diced potatoes, onions, and peppers to the pan and fry them until golden. Finally, I top the hash with a fried egg.

This breakfast is a great way to start the day and gives Jake the energy he needs for his morning lacrosse practice!

Salmon Hash with a Fried Egg

Ingredients:

-1/2 lb wild-caught salmon
-Juice of 1/2 lemon
-Salt and pepper, to taste
-1 tablespoon olive oil
-1 large potato, diced
-1/2 red onion, diced
-1 bell pepper, diced
-1 egg

Instructions:

1. Season the salmon with the lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon and cook until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.

3. Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside. Add the diced potatoes, onion, and pepper to the pan and fry until golden and tender, about 10 minutes.

4. Return the salmon to the pan and stir to combine. Make a well in the center of the hash and crack the egg into it. Fry until the egg is cooked to your liking.
